WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
We try to ship out orders as soon as we can.  For orders containing 15 or more of one specific product, there may be a delay in order fulfillment – if this is the case, we will get in touch with you immediately. Currently, Thimblepress ships with USPS or UPS for domestic and international orders. Thimblepress shipping rates are based on the location we are shipping to in combination with order totals and the level of shipping you choose. An email confirmation will be sent to you after your product has shipped. Please note our shipping window for customer order processing is 1-3 days, and for special events 7-10 days. That is the time it takes for us to prepare a customer order, not the time it takes to ship and get to the customer. If you have a specific deadline for your order, we advise you to contact Thimblepress at orders@thimblepress.com before placing the order to inquire and request a specific ship date. There is always the option to choose a faster shipping time at checkout. For wholesale order shipping and terms please visit our wholesale page. These shipping times vary from customer order fulfillment and shipping times.
WHY IS SHIPPING SO EXPENSIVE?
We, too, wish that shipping did not have to be so expensive!  But there is so much that goes into delivering your package to you.  Cost is determined by  where you live, what you order, how much your order weighs, the shipment method, service availability, and delivery time commitments.  Rates are determined by UPS or USPS (we have no control over rates). Effective  January 17, 2016, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) increased shipping rates between 9%-12% for Domestic Shipping  and 11%-21% for International shipping.  You can visit USPS.com or UPS.com for more details.

In addition, the items you purchase are hand-packed (with love!) by someone on our Thimblepress team.   One or more people are involved in the multi-step process of  packaging, boxing, weighing, checking, double-checking, and shipping  your Thimblepress goods to you!   Several materials are involved including  boxes, tape, bubble bag mailers, stay flats, cello sleeves, cardboard backing, packaging materials, shipping labels, etc!   Please know that we try to use the least expensive shipping method to keep costs to a minimum. And throughout the year,  we offer FREE Shipping coupon codes (USA only) to let you know how much we appreciate you!

CAN I ORDER CUSTOM LETTERPRESS WORK?
Yes, however, we only take  a limited number of custom letterpress orders each year, so please  contact as soon as possible by filling out the custom design form here.

Letterpress is such a beautiful technique, but it has several time consuming steps from start to finish including 1. creating custom designs 2. Ordering custom plates of design is made. (The plate usually costs over $50 and takes a week to produce). 3. Mixing the ink color(s) 4. Checking the press and all pre-press steps 5. Printing the image 6. Cleaning up the plate, press, and work area 7. Trimming any necessary paper, packaging product, and shipping.  With all that time it takes to set-up and clean-up, we print a minimum of 100 designs at a time.  Please keep in mind that the only letterpress work that we print is artwork that we have created in-house. We do not do commercial printing.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PRODUCE A CUSTOM ORDER?
It varies depending on the project, design, product, etc.  The process for initiating custom work is detailed on our website here
WHICH STORES CARRY THIMBLEPRESS PRODUCTS?
We are so pleased that over 900 retailers (both international and nationwide) carry our Thimblepress products!!  For a full list of shops carrying our goods, visit this link.
Please support these amazing shops!  The Thimblepress line currently has over 300 products.  With such a selection, each store carries a unique variety of our goods, so please note that not all stores carry every item in our line.
Please note there is no “fire-power” in this product.  You cannot simply take the lid off and wait for it to explode.  :)   When you purchase a push-pop, we include a card with these instructions.  The best method for confetti flying fun is:

  1. Hold Push-Pop upright
  2. Take the plastic wrap off and  the lid off
  3. Hold the push pop away from your body
  4. Pull your arm back (like you’re about to serve a volleyball)
  5. Swing arm forward and hit the bottom of the push pop stick with your palm (use force!)
  6. Watch confetti fly!!

Remember to save the push-pop container and lid.  It is food-safe and you can reuse it to make popsicles or other treats!

DO YOU SELL CONFETTI IN BULK?
No, we do not sell confetti on its own or in bulk.  But we do have Colossal Confetti for sale! Please see the Celebration tab on our website!
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/RETURN POLICY?
All items (excluding sale items) purchased  from Thimblepress may be returned within 10 days of receiving it, as long as it is in its original packaging. If returning an item, we ask that you please contact us beforehand.  (Thimblepress does not cover the shipping fees to mail back to us).   Once we have received the item, made sure it is not damaged a refund or store credit (your choice) will be issued for the cost of the item only. We do not refund shipping costs.

Letterpress items  are handled case by case and may vary due to the nature of letterpress being a handmade process.   Ink impression and color on the pieces  may differ slightly from the picture you see in the store due to computer monitors and photography. We will accept returns if there is a smudge or if the piece has been damaged in some way.

DO YOU ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL ORDERS?
Yes! However, we are not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments. These fees or duties are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations that may apply to your order.
CAN YOU MAKE A PUSH-POP WITH A CUSTOM LOGO ON IT?
Yes! For all custom questions, please fill out the form here

HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR LETTERPRESSED PRODUCTS?
Kristen Ley, owner and designer, uses a 1925 10 x 15 Chandler + Price Letterpress that she hauled from from Lexington, KY. Every item she prints is hand-fed one-by-one into the Letterpress. She also has a Heidleberg Windmill Letterpress.
I ORDERED A BOY GENDER REVEAL PUSH-POP. WHY IS THERE BOTH PINK AND BLUE CONFETTI IN THE TOP OF THE LID?
We intentionally designed the gender reveal Push-Pops this way! The gold confetti in the lid has both pink and blue mixed into it.  But inside, the push pop is stuffed with either pink or blue confetti depending on which gender you ordered.  Please note, we ship all Gender Reveal Push-Pops in clear bags that have a “BOY” or “GIRL” sticker clearly marked on the outside to indicate if blue or pink confetti is in the push-pop.   So whomever is opening the package will know immediately if it’s a girl or boy push-pop.
DO YOU OFFER DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AS PART OF THE STATE FLOWER PRINT COLLECTION?
Currently, we do not offer Washington D.C. as part of our state flower collection. But keep checking back as we may add it in the future!
